Winter 2025 Courses & Trips → Now Open for Signup!

It’s been a good summer. Despite all the craziness of adding a new family member and some house remodels, Eric has been busy with a ton of rock climbing and a bit of mountain running. Evan has been slammed with guide exams in Squamish, Roger’s Pass, the Gold Range, and the Rockies. Only one of us passed our commercial driver test last week but you get to guess who… We’ve both been so full tilt we’ve barely hung out. Thankfully winter is on its way. The leaves are turning in Squamish and the weather station at the top of the Exit Gully is finally starting to dip down.

We’ve spent the last few weeks finalizing our calendar of guided courses and trips to be stoked about. Whether you’re looking to level up your backcountry skills, ski big lines with confidence, or just spend time in the mountains with a solid crew, we’re ready!
We have a bunch of great courses available this season:
- Avalanche Refresher Days - Nov 30, Dec 7, Dec 13, Dec 14
- Ski Mountaineering Skill Weekends - Dec 20/21, Jan 3/4, Jan 10/11
- Pro Lines Decision Making Course - Feb 19/22
Our courses have limited spots and usually sell out quickly. If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it!
We’re also taking bookings for touring days and big adventures. Send us an email to talk about your ideas. Here’s Eric’s top hits for this season:
- Early season powder hunting in the trees. December and January are often the best time for low elevation tree skiing in the old growth around Squamish. Sometimes it’s a bust but when the conditions are just right, these can be banger days!
- Yurt Touring on Mt. Currie. January and February are short days but by staying at the Coast Range Heli Yurt at Marriage Lake above Mt. Currie, we can maximize the skiing. We’ll fly into the hut (that we have all to ourselves), then bump up to the ridgetop so we can start the day with a descent. The rest of the trip is just making the most of the zone name enjoying yurt comforts in the evening!
- Sled based exploratory skiing in Bralorne. If you’ve got a snowmobile, this is the way to do things in February and March. We’ll park the trucks in Pemby and ride sleds over the Hurley to stay at the motel in Bralorne BC. Then we’ll sled out of town to check out rad ski lines that are well off the radar.
- Net-negative Neve Traverse. Once we get into the spring season in March and April, we’ll get a heli-drop high on Brohm Ridge, ski the NE Face of Nch’Kay, then tour around Atwell to a mega corn run off Little Diamond Head and out Elfin.
- Mount Baker ski mountaineering. As April pushes into May, we can head south for Volcano missions. Tagging Mt. Baker’s summit and then the Thunder Glacier is a wild feeling tour that rarely sees much traffic.
Any of these sound good to you? Reach out and we’ll make it happen! We’ll have Evan’s wish list in the next newsletter.

Stay tuned for some pre-season stoke in the next few weeks—gear, conditions, and more. We’ll try to keep these emails as personal and useful as we can. Thanks for starting the season off with us at Zenith!
