Zenith Courses - NEW Crevasse Rescue!
We try to keep advertising to a minimum with this newsletter so bear with us here but we do have a few course spots left open this season that we want to let you know about. If you’re anxiously waiting for the season to get a little better, a course is a perfect way to tamp down the fomo and also build some skills before it really matters. When deep winter gets here, you don’t want to be fussing around trying to remember stuff!
First up - NEW crevasse rescue course!
The course will be two days: one rope intensive day to get familiarized and the second on snow to dial in anchor building, load transfers and the rest. This will be a specific focus on crevasse skills compared to our ski mountaineering course that‘s more general.
Interested? Dates are December 20/21st and will be based in the Squamish/Whistler Area. Get signed up asap!
Next up is ProLines:
This is our four day deep dive into professional level decision making from Feb 19-22nd. We’ll be line and snow quality hunting throughout the corridor but figuring out WHY the skiing is good here and not there, and why we’re comfortable with these risks but not those.
- If you want to make decisions in big mountain terrain that doesn’t have an avalanche forecast, this is the place to start.
- If you want to get incorporated into the decision making process for a group targeting bigger lines, this is the course.
- If you want to explore off the beaten path in the Sea to Sky - and get comfortable with a small group of like minded skiers, this is the course!
Avalanche Refresher Days:
We’ve still got a handful of spots left in our avalanche courses. These are designed to be a refresher. A way to bust the rust of the skills you’ve been developing over your ski career. It doesn‘t matter if that career has been 2 years or 20, there’s ALWAYS rust to be busted. You’ll get a bunch of repetitions in and I promise you’ll learn something you didn’t know. Bring a buddy who you'd want to be there if you're in need of a rescue!

Finally - a coveted lodge trip!
We have a few spots open on a backcountry ski lodge trip during prime time. LQ Outpost in the Vakyr Range is in the heart of the interior snow belt, with 400m to 1000m+ runs right out the door.
